Is there 1, 2 or 3 of them? I have created this page in the hope that fellow Miller researcher’s will have a read and forward any opinion’s or clues they may have on the subject of “George Robert Miller”, or better yet add your comments below for other’s to see them as well. Laid out below [...] Our Miller and related families had strong ties to the world of ‘travelling entertainers’ as showman, acrobats, sideshow, circus and even a snakeman. In fact the family is still represented within the business today! Charlie Miller (1894-1949) was apparently known as the ‘Snakeman’ around Bingara. William JONES arrived on the "Marquis of Wellington" on 27th January 1815, aged 26, after being convicted for life at the ‘Old Bailey’ on 12 Jan 1814 for stealing sheep. George Melrose was a Sapper & Miner with the Royal Engineers. George MELROSE and Jane SCHOFIELD sailed from Plymouth, UK on 9 August 1852 and after being at sea for 122 days arrived in Tasmania, Australia on 9 December 1852. George was a Sapper & Miner of the Royal Engineers.
